Recipe Ingredient
- 500g glutinous rice, soaked overnight
- 100g vegetarian roasted chicken
- 4 dried Chinese mushrooms, soaked and halved
- 4 red dates, stoned and halved
- Seasoning (A)
- 1/4 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp light soya sauce
- Seasoning (B)
- 1 tbsp light soya sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp monosodium glutamate
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp dark soya sauce
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce
- 3-4 tbsp water
Instructions
- Combine soaked mushrooms with seasoning (A) in a bowl and steam for 10 minutes. Drain glutinous rice well.
- Remove and transfer into a large mixing bowl. Add seasoning (B) to mix.
- Prepare 7-8 small bowls. Put a piece of prepared mushroom, a piece of vegetarian chicken and a piece of red date. Top with seasoned glutinous rice; press down slightly, then steam for 25-30 minutes.
- Remove and serve immediately.
