Recipe Ingredient

  • 200g cabbage
  • 50g onion, chopped
  • 1 fresh red chilli, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 25ml water
  • 50g freshly grated coconut (white part only)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Juice of 1/2 lime

Instructions

  1. Wash and shred the cabbage and place in a pan.
  2. Add onion, chilli, salt and water.
  3. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Once water is evaporated, add the coconut, pepper and turmeric and cook for a further 2-3 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with limejuice just before serving.
