Recipe Ingredient

  • 1 box silken tofu
  • 5 shelled small prawns
  • 2 dried Chinese mushrooms, soaked and sliced
  • 1 tbsp diced carrot
  • Seasoning:
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp chicken stock powder
  • 3 tbsp water
  • Garnish:
  • A splash of Shao Hsing Hua Tiau wine
  • 1 tbsp diced red chilli
  • Some fried shallot crisps

Instructions

  1. Remove silken tofu from the box and place onto a serving dish.
  2. Spread the prawns, carrot and mushrooms over.
  3. Combine seasoning ingredients in a small bowl. Gradually drip the seasoning over the tofu. Place the plate of tofu over a steamer. Steam for 7-8 minutes or until the tofu is well done.
  4. Remove and add garnishing. Serve .
