Recipe Ingredient
- 500g fresh clam
- 2 litre water
- 4 small red onions, quartered
- 3 red chillies,cut halve
- 3 green chillies, cut halve
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 stalk lemongrass, pounded
- 3 cloves garlic, sliced
- 5pcs tamarind skin, cleaned and soaked in hot water
- Cooking oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 stalks spring onion, sliced thinly
- 2 pcs daun salam, sliced thinly
Instructions
- Wash the clams well and place in a pan with enough water to cover the clams.
- Place on a high fire until the clams are well-cooked. Then strain and put aside.
- Sauté the onions and garlic until fragrant.
- Add in water and bring to a boil.
- Add lemongrass, turmeric powder, tamarind skin and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add clams and season with salt.
- Bring it to a boil, then simmer in slow fire.
- Before serving, sprinkle the spring onion and daun salam.
