Recipe Ingredient
- 2cm square piece vegetarian belacan
- 100g tomatoes (finely chopped)
- 250ml water
- (A):
- 300g red chillies (seeded)
- 80g dried chillies (seeded and soaked)
- Seasoning:
- 1tbsp vinegar
- 1tbsp castor sugar
- 1tbsp vegetarian concentrated mushroom powder
- 50g castor sugar
- 1/2tsp salt or to taste
Instructions
- Combine ingredients (A) in a food processor. Add a little water and process to the consistency required.
- Heat a little oil and fry vegetarian belacan until fragrant.
- Add blended chillies, tomatoes, water and seasoning.
- Fry over medium low heat until mixture is fairly dry. Dish out.
