Recipe Ingredient
- Spices (A) - ground and combined:
- 8 shallots
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3 fresh red chillies
- 3 dried chillies, soaked until soft
- 3/4 tsp belacan stock granules
- (B):
- 75g mashed sweet potatoes
- 75g gula Melaka
- 1½ tbsp tamarind, mixed with 50ml water and squeezed for juice
- 600ml water
- 125g toasted peanuts, pounded
- 3/4 tsp salt or to taste
- 3 tbsp oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a saucepan and fry ground ingredients until fragrant.
- Add in (B) and simmer until gravy turns thick.
- Toss rojak ingredients with the sauce.
