Recipe Ingredient
- 560ml stock
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 tbsp sugar
- 3/4 tbsp dark soya sauce
- 3/4 tsp Chinese Five Spice powder to be mixed with a bit of water
- Pepper and monosodium glutamate to taste
- 1 tbsp tapioca flour mixed with enough water
- 1/2 egg white
- A little oil
Instructions
- Mix all the seasoning ingredients with the stock and bring to a low boil. Lastly, add tapioca flour mixture slowly (you may drip it) to make sure that the sauce gets sticky.
- Add half a beaten egg white for texture and a little oil for a glossy effect.
Hi. Want to know what is the difference between brown sauce for penang lobak and sticky tapioca sause for penang lobak? I confused cause the ingredients almost the same. Thanks!
