Recipe Ingredient
- 350g minced pork
- 100g mui choy (preserved mustard vegetable), chopped into pieces
- Spring onions, for garnish
- Seasoning sauce to marinate the minced pork :
- 1 tsp Chinese Shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp corn flour
- 3 tbsp water
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, add the minced pork and mix all the seasoning mixture to the minced pork. Using a chopstick to stir the minced pork in one direction until the minced pork sticky. Set aside and marinate for overnight or 15 minutes.
- Rinse the mui choy (preserved mustard vegetable) under cold water to remove excess salt. Soak in a clean water for 15 minutes. Set aside.
- Now return to the soaked mui choy (preserved mustard vegetable), squeeze out any excess water and chop into small pieces.
- Add the chopped mui choy (preserved mustard vegetable) to the marinated minced pork and mix evenly until well combined.
- Transfer the marinated pork and mui choy to a deep-dish plate and flatten it lightly with the back of a spoon.
- Prepare the steamer, add water to the pot. Once water boiling, carefully place the deep-dish plate with the minced pork and mui choy into the steamer.
- Cover the steamer and steam the minced pork and mui choy for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Remove the steamed minced pork with mui choy from the steamer and garnish with spring onions.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
