Recipe Ingredient

  • 400g lean pork, cut into slices
  • Seasoning (A)
  • 1 cube preserved beancurd (lam yee), mashed with a spoon
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp Shao Hsing Hua Tiau wine
  • Marinade (B)
  • 1 tsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Chinese five spice powder
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp plain flour
  • 1 tsp custard powder
  • 50ml water

Instructions

  1. Marinade pork with seasoning (A) for 30 minutes.
  2. Combined marinade (B) well together in a mixing bowl. Add seasoned pork slices. Marinate for at least 3-4 hours.
  3. Heat oil in a wok until hot and deep-fry pork slices over medium heat until golden brown and fragrant. Dish out and serve immediately.
