Recipe Ingredient

  • (A):
  • 200g glutinous rice flour
  • 2 tbsp plain flour
  • 150g pumpkin paste
  • a pinch of salt
  • Marinade for chicken
  • 1 tsp seasoning
  • 1 1/2 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • Seasoning:
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • a dash of white pepper
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 2 tsp water
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp chicken stock granules
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Filling:
  • 120g chicken meat
  • 80g Chinese black mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp carrot
  • 2 tsp coriander roots
  • 1 water chestnut
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Dice chicken and black mushrooms. Chop finely the carrot, coriander roots and water chestnut.
  2. Marinate the chicken meat for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in wok and stir-fry garlic until fragrant. Then add the ingredients for the filling and seasoning and fry well. Dish up and allow to cool.
  4. Mix well ingredients (A) to form a dough. Divide into small portions. Wrap the portion with filling. Shape the portion to look like a pumpkinand use a small knife to make the lines. Steam for eight to 10 minutes.
