Recipe Ingredient
- 4-6 tblsp oil
- Spice paste:
- 50gm (5cloves) garlic
- 40gm shallots (4)
- 15 chekur root
- 2tsp peppercorn
- 2tsp corriander powder
- 200gms sugar
- 600gm radish grated finely and squeezed dry
- 75gm sago soaked for 10mins then drained
- 80gm candid winter melon diced
- Batter mixture:
- 250gm rice flour
- 400ml water
- 4tsp salt
- Garnish:
- 100 gms crushed roasted peanuts
Instructions
- Heat oil to saute spice paste till fragrant, add sugar and radish, stir to disolve sugar.
- Add sago, melon and batter mix. Cook over medium heat till thick and sticky. Add more water if batter is too thick, turn off heat.
- Steam a well greased tray over boiling water. Pour batter and steam 30mins.
- Garnish with peanuts, cool overnight before cutting.
