Recipe Ingredient
- 450g garupa fish fillet cut chunky pieces
- 1/2 tbsp crushed chopped shallots
- 1/2 tbsp grated ginger
- Marinade:
- 1/2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tbsp cooking wine
- Dash of pepper
- Seasoning, combine:
- 1/2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp sugar, or to taste
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Place garupa fillet chunks on paper towels to dry. Marinate fish with shallots, ginger and marinade ingredients for 10 minutes. Toss the marinated fish in flour. Deep-fry till golden brown.
- Heat oil in a wok. Add seasoning ingredients and cook until sauce turns frothy. Put in deep-fried fish chunks to coat with sauce. Dish up and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
