Recipe Ingredient
- 600g large prawns
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- Marinade
- 3 cloves garlic
- 5 shallots
- 2cm ginger, chopped
- 1 1/2 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 300ml plain yoghurt
Instructions
- Make a slit in the back of the prawns and remove entrails. Wash and trim the feelers and whiskers. Drain and dab dry with paper kitchen towels. Season with salt and pepper.
- Grind garlic, shallots and ginger together. Combine with the other marinade ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add the prawns and lightly toss. Leave to marinate for at least 20-30 minutes.
- Thread each prawn onto a skewer. Arrange skewered prawns in a turbo broiler over a wire rack. Grill at 200°C for 5-10 minutes. Turn over once to ensure the prawns are cooked. Serve at once.
