Prawn Arrabiata Spaghetti – fiery tomato kick that is sure to please you and other spice lovers out there!
Recipe Ingredient
- Prawn Arrabiata Spaghetti
- 200g spaghetti (uncooked)
- 3 nos garlic (sliced)
- 1/2 nos big onion (sliced)
- 1&1/2 tsp italian mixed herbs
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 200g prawns (deveined)
- 1-2 nos small red chili (stalk and seeds removed)
- 1/2 pack cherry tomatoes (cut into halves)
- 1 canned chopped tomatoes
- 600ml water
- some salt & black pepper
- 1 stalk english parsley (chopped)
- (optional) parmesan cheese
- Basic One Pan Spaghetti
- 200g spaghetti (uncooked)
- 3 nos garlic (sliced)
- 1/2 nos big onion (sliced)
- 1 tsp italian mixed herbs
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 pack cherry tomatoes (cut into halves)
- 700ml water
- 1 nos cubed chicken stock
- some salt and black pepper (to taste)
- 1 handful sweet basil leaves
- Creamy Mushroom & Spinach Spaghetti
- 200g spaghetti (uncooked)
- 3 nos garlic (sliced)
- 1/2 nos big onion (sliced)
- 2 tsp italian mixed herb
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 box button mushroom (sliced) 1 box button mushroom (sliced) 1 box button mushroom (sliced)
- 1 handful baby spinach
- 500ml water
- 200ml milk
- salt and black pepper (to taste)
- 1 nos cubed chicken stock
- plenty of grated parmesan cheese
- 1 nos english parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- First, season the prawns with some salt and pepper. Heat up pan with 1Tbsp of olive oil and sear each side for 1-2 minutes or till prawns are cooked. Remove from pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add in the remaining 1 Tbsp of olive oil and pan fry the sliced garlic, onions, chilies and cherry tomatoes till fragrant. Add in the italian mixed herb midway.
- Then, incorporate the whole can of chopped tomatoes followed by 600ml of water. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes before adding in your uncooked spaghetti.
- Season lightly with some salt and let it boil for 12-14 minutes on med to low heat. Make sure to stir occasionally to avoid spaghetti from sticking together.
- Once spaghetti has cooked, incorporate the cooked prawns and mix well. Season with more salt and pepper if needed.
- Garnish with some chopped english parsley and parmesan cheese before serving. Enjoy!
- Heat up pan with 2 Tbsp of olive oil and pan fry the sliced garlic, onions and cherry tomatoes till fragrant. Add in the italian mixed herb midway
- Then. add in the 700ml of water, followed by the cubed chicken stock and some salt and black pepper. Let it simmer for a 1-2 minutes before adding in the spaghetti.
- After adding in the spaghetti, boil for 12-14 minutes with lid closed on med to low heat. Make sure to stir occasionally to avoid spaghetti from sticking together.
- Once spaghetti has cooked, season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
- Turn off flame and Incorporate the handful of sweet basil into the spaghetti before serving. Enjoy!
- Heat up pan with 2 Tbsp of olive oil and pan fry the mushrooms on high heat or till they are cooked. Remove from pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add in the remaining 1 Tbsp of olive oil and pan fry the sliced garlic and onions till fragrant. Add in the italian mixed herb midway.
- Subsequently, add in the 500ml of water and 200ml milk into the pan, followed by the cubed stock, salt and pepper. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes before adding in the spaghetti.
- Let the spaghetti boil for 12-14 minutes on med to low heat. Make sure to stir occasionally to avoid spaghetti from sticking together.
- Once done, incorporate the cooked mushrooms ,baby spinach and a generous amount of grated parmesan cheese into the pasta. Mix well for 1-2 minutes before turning off the heat.
- Top with some chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy!
- Make sure to stir occasionally to prevent the spaghetti from sticking to the bottom of the pan
- Gradually add additional 100ml of water if you find your spaghetti has not cooked but is lacking in liquid. Just remember to season accordingly
- You can start checking if your spaghetti is cooked after 10 minutes into boiling
