- Cake Batter:
- 120g Anchor Unsalted Butter
- 50g sugar
- 60g brown sugar
- 120g eggs
- 120g all purpose flour
- 2g baking powder
- 2g baking soda
- 3g cinnamon powder
- 2g nutmeg powder
- Apple Noisette:
- 300g green apples
- 50g brown sugar
- 50g Anchor Unsalted Butter
- 10g lemon juice
Instructions
- In a pot, cook brown sugar and Anchor Unsalted Butter until butter is browned and fragrant. Add apples.
- Cook and reduce for 5 to 10 minutes until thick.
- Add in lemon juice.
- Cool down before using.
- Preheat oven to 180C.
- In a mixing bowl, cream Anchor Unsalted Butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
- Add in room temperature eggs and mix well.
- Mix in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon powder and nutmeg powder. Make sure there are no lumps.
- Pour batter into a 9" cake mold and keep in chiller for 30 minutes.
- Scoop apples onto the cake and bake for 45 minutes or until cooked.
