Recipe Ingredient
- 100g almonds
- 1 vanilla pod or a few drops of vannila essence
- 750ml boiled water
Instructions
- Soak the almonds overnight with 50ml water, then add remaining water and grind in the blender till smooth.
- Pour it through a sieve to remove the almond paste. Add the vanilla pod or essence before refrigerating. Store the milk in a clean and dry bottle. Serve warm or cold.
- This is a excellent substitute to dairy milk. I serve it frequently to my son as a nightcap with honey. It is good for children who are lactose intolerant.
