Recipe Ingredient

  • 150g fish paste
  • 150g prawns, minced
  • 1 tsp chopped spring onion
  • 1 tsp chopped red chilli
  • 1 tbsp chopped carrot
  • 3 pieces nori sheets
  • 1 large piece bean curd sheet
  • Seasoning
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp monosodium glutamate
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 tsp corn flour
  • Pipping Sauce (Combined)
  • 1 tbsp wasabe
  • 2 tbsp chilli sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp lime juice

Instructions

  1. Combine fish paste, prawns and seasoning in a big bowl. Stir in carrot, spring onion and red chilli to blend.
  2. Cut the bean curd sheet into 13x 8cm pieces. Cut nori sheet into 12x6cm pieces.
  3. Spread some filling on the bean curd sheet. Place a piece of nori sheet on top.
  4. Spread with another thin layer of filling on the nori. Wrap up into a roll and twist both the ends.
  5. Deep-fry in hot oil until crispy and golden. Drain and cut into slices at a slant. Serve with dipping sauce.
