Recipe Ingredient
- 600g spareribs, cut into 4cm pieces
- 1 egg white, beaten
- 1/2 cup cornflour
- Seasoning (A):
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp Chinese rice wine
- Sauce (B):
- 1 tbsp chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Marinate spareribs with seasoning (A) for at least 30 minutes. Mix ingredients (B) and add to the marinated ribs. Leave in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- Just before deep-frying the spareribs, add in beaten egg white.
- Stir to mix well then remove spareribs and coat with cornflour.
- Deep-fry in hot oil over medium heat until golden brown and meat is tender.
- Dish out and leave aside.
- Reheat the oil. Fry the ribs a second time to give them a crispy texture.
