Recipe Ingredient
- 1 snake gourd, sliced
- 2 onions, diced
- 1 tbsp ginger, diced
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 3 - 4 tbsp oil
- salt to taste
- Spice Mix:
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 dried chilli - broken into small pieces
- 1 sprig curry leaf
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Instructions
- Heat oil in pan over low heat and when hot, add the the mustard seeds, cumin, fennel, dried chillies and curry leaf.
- Next add onions and ginger and when onions are soft, add the snake gourd and tomatoes. Then add the turmeric powder, salt and mix the spices thoroughly with the gourd and cook over slow heat till it is cooked.
