Recipe Ingredient
- 10 large prawns
- 5-6 tbsps oil
- 1 brinjal, sliced
- 3 lady´s fingers
- 1 green chilli, halved and seeded
- 1 red chilli, halved and seeded
- 1 tomato, quartered
- 100ml evaporated milk
- Spice (A)
- 1 stalk curry leaves
- 1 tsp halba seeds
- 1 onion, halved and sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced
- 2 stalks lemon grass
- Spice (B) - Combine, add a little water and mix into a paste
- 2 tbsps seafood curry powder
- 1 tbsp chilli powder
- Seasoning
- 2 tbsps asam jawa, mixed with 150ml water
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp sugar
Instructions
- Heat oil and fry halba seeds until fragrant. Add curry leaves and lemon grass. Continue to fry for a while.
- Add garlic and onion and fry until fragrant. Add spice (B). Sauté until fragrant.
- Add lady's fingers, brinjal, tomato and red and green chillies. Pour in asam jawa juice and bring to a boil.
- Add in prawns and pour in evaporated milk. Adjust with salt and sugar to taste. Dish out and serve.
