Recipe Ingredient
- 325g green beans, washed and dried in the sun
- 175g sugar
- 100ml water
Instructions
- Fry the green beans in a pan over very low heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Leave to cool. Place beans in an electric blender and grind till fine.
- Put the ground beans in a large mixing bowl. Add the sugar. Gradually add the water bit by bit and stir well to mix and combine until the texture of the mixture is like fine breadcrumbs.
- To test, press mixture well together to form a lump.
- Fill up a wooden {luk tau paeng} mould with the bean mixture pressed firmly into it. Level, then scrape off any excess with a palette knife.
- Lightly tap the biscuit out onto the table, then place the biscuit on a tray. (Tray needs no greasing.)
- Bake the biscuits in a preheated oven at 170 ºC for 30 to 40 minutes or until they are cooked. Remove and cool on a wire rack, then store in an airtight container.
