Recipe Ingredient

  • 10 chicken wings
  • Sesame oil
  • Marinade:
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp castor sugar
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Shao Hsing Hua Tiau wine
  • 1/2 tsp chicken stock powder
  • 1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp ginger juice
  • Sauce ingredients:
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp H.P. sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp Shao Hsing Hua Tiau wine
  • 100ml water

Instructions

  1. Clean and chop chicken wings into two. Cut off the end wing tip.
  2. Combine marinade ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add the chicken wings and toss until well combined. Allow to marinate in the refrigerator for several hours.
  3. Heat oil in a wok and deep-fry chicken wings till golden brown. Dish out and leave aside.
  4. Heat a little sesame oil and add sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil then add the pre-fried chicken wings. Allow to simmer until sauce is reduced and chicken wings are well coated with the sauce. Dish out and serve immediately.
