Recipe Ingredient
- 600g chicken, chopped into bite-sized pieces
- Marinade
- 1/2 tsp light soya sauce
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp Lee Kum Kee shrimp paste
- Batter
- 3/4 cup plain flour
- 1 tbsp rice flour
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup water or just enough
- 1 tbsp oil
Instructions
- Season chicken with marinade and leave to marinate for several hours. Combine flour, rice flour, baking powder, pepper and water.
- Mix into a batter. Add in oil and mix. Coat marinated chicken in batter and deep-fry in hot oil until crispy and golden brown. Serve immediately.
