- Sift:
- 130g self-raising flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp instant coffee powder
- a pinch of salt
- 130g butter
- 130g castor sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp milk
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
- Chocolate glaze:
- 200g cooking chocolate
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Grease a 20cm ring mould or dish. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Gradually fold in flour, alternating with milk. Mix well and pour into greased mould or dish.
- Cook on high for six minutes.
- To cook using the one touch menu function, press the vegetable/instant noodles/steam cake button three times, then press start.
- When cake is done, stand for five minutes before turning out into an attractive dish.
- To make chocolate glaze, melt chocolate and butter in a bowl on medium for one to two minutes. Add milk and stir occasionally. Pour mixture over cake.
- Slice and serve with your favourite tea or coffee.
