- 150g cold butter, cut into small cubes
- 250g icing sugar, sifted
- 3 tbsp cold UHT milk
- 3/4 tsp vanilla essence or any other essence of your choice
Instructions
- Cream butter with an electric beater until light to almost creamy then slowly add icing sugar, alternating it with cold milk.
- Keep on beating until the butter icing is light and fluffy. Stir in the essence and beat until it is well blended.
- You can divide your butter icing into three or four portions and add a different colouring to each portion so that you´ll get different-colored icing for your cupcakes.
