There’s a myriad of ways to enjoy tandoori chicken, but have you ever had a tandoori burger? Instead of a regular burger patty, replace that with pieces of tandoori chicken to make a satisfying meal. This recipe is courtesy of The Daily Grind and was first published in Flavours.

Recipe Ingredient
- Tandoori chicken
- 30 g tandoori spice
- 20 g Yoghurt
- 2 tsp lime juice
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 pinch cumin powder
- 1 pinch coriander powder
- 1 pinch cardamom powder
- 1 pinch clove powder
- 1 pinch paprika
- salt and pepper to taste
- 150 g chicken breast
- Raita sauce
- 100 g Yoghurt
- 50 g cucumber (diced)
- 10 g dill (chopped)
- 10 g ginger (grated)
- salt and pepper to taste
- Pickled onion
- 50 g purple onion (sliced)
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- salt and pepper to taste
- Burger
- 1 pita bread (halved and lightly grilled)
- 30 g cucumber (sliced)
Instructions
- Mix all the spice ingredients together and rub the mixture onto the chicken. Leave to marinate for at least 1 hour before grilling on the top deck of a preheated oven at 200°C for 20 minutes, turning once midway.
- Mix all the ingredients together.
- Mix all the ingredients together and set aside for 10 minutes.
- Place cucumber slices on pita bread. Top with tandoori chicken, raita sauce and pickled onion.
