- 40g butter
- Ingredients (A)
- 400g high-protein flour
- 80g castor sugar
- 1 tsp instant dried yeast
- 250ml water
- 20g milk powder
- 6g salt
- 1 egg
- Glaze (lightly beaten)
- 1 small egg
- 1 tbsp fresh milk
Instructions
- Combine ingredients (A) in a mixing bowl. Beat in butter until mixture turns soft and smooth. Cover and allow to rest for five minutes. Transfer dough onto a lightly floured table top and knead for 1-2 minutes. Dust with extra flour if the dough gets too sticky. Divide dough into 50g pieces.
- Roll each piece of dough into a ball and proof for 10 minutes. Brush the buns with egg glaze and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes.
