Recipe Ingredient

  • 250g beef fillet
  • (A):
  • 1 tbsp boiled water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp nampla (fish sauce)
  • Dash of sesame oil
  • Dash of ground black pepper
  • A pinch of sugar
  • Assorted vegetables
  • 2 shallots, chopped
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh red chillies
  • 1 tbsp chopped bird chillies (cilipadi)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • Garnishing:
  • 2 to 3 lettuce leaves
  • 1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Marinate beef with a little meat tenderiser and grill to medium rare. Slice beef into thin slices.
  2. Combine ingredients (A) in a mixing bowl. Add beef slices and mix. Toss in assorted vegetables, then remove onto serving plate lined with lettuce leaves. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
