Recipe Ingredient
- 1 tbsp suit karp
- 1 thin slice ginger
- 18 pieces ginkgo nuts, shelled
- 1 tbsp sweet almonds (lure hung), washed and drained
- 1/2 tbsp bitter almonds (pak hung), washed and drained
- 4 red dates, pitted and halved
- 75g rock sugar
- 500ml water
Instructions
- Soak suit karp for two hours and pick clean. Wash and drain well. Boil in clean water with ginger for five minutes. Drain and set aside. Discard the ginger.
- Put suit karp, red dates, almonds, ginkgo nuts and rock sugar in a double boiler. Add hot water, cover and double boil for two hours over low flame. Serve hot or chilled.
