Recipe Ingredient
- 4 Lipton teabags
- 300ml water
- 100g castor sugar
- 10g agar-agar strips, cut into 3-4cm lengths, soaked for 30-40 minutes then drained
- 380ml UHT fresh milk
- 50g castor sugar
- Fruits:
- 1 slice red watermelon, cubed
- 1 slice honeydew, cubed
- 1 ripe mango, cubed
- 1 tin longans
Instructions
- Put soaked agar-agar and water into a saucepan. Bring to a boil over a gentle heat to dissolve the agar-agar, then add milk and sugar. Stir well to dissolve the sugar. Pour the agar-agar into a square container and leave aside to set and cool. Chill in the refrigerator and cut into cubes.
- Steep teabags in water together with the sugar for six to seven minutes. Bring to a simmering boil until liquid turns syrupy. Remove teabags and set the syrup aside to cool.
- Chill cubed fruits and longans in the refrigerator. Combine fruits, agar-agar, tea and longan syrup in a punch bowl and serve. This meal is good particularly after a meal of spicy food.
