Recipe Ingredient
- (A):
- 245g soft brown sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 150g melted butter
- 180ml milk
- (B):
- 120g high-protein flour
- 90g superfine flour
- 1 tbsp custard powder
- 1 tbsp double-action baking powder
- 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
Instructions
- Whisk eggs, soft brown sugar and vanilla essence until light and fluffy. Sift in ingredients (B) and stir well to mix until evenly combined.
- Add melted butter and milk gradually. Stir until well mixed and free from lumps.
- Transfer batter to a 22cm round tin lined with grease proof paper. Steam over high heat for 40-45 minutes until well risen.
