Recipe Ingredient
- 600g large prawns
- 100g plain flour
- 1/2tbsp rice flour
- 1/2tbsp milk powder
- 1tsp baking powder
- 1/4tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1/4tsp pepper
- 1/4tsp salt
- 1/2cup or enough water
- 1tbsp oil
- Enough oil for frying
Instructions
- Shell prawns but leave tails intact. Marinate prawns lightly with a dash of salt and pepper and leave aside for 30 minutes.
- Combine flour, rice flour, milk powder, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, pepper, salt, just enough water and oil to make a fairly thick batter.
- Dip seasoned prawns into batter, up to the tail. Fry in hot oil till fritters turn golden and crispy.
- Serve fritters with sliced chillies in worcestershire sauce.
