Recipe Ingredient
- 500g chicken breast meat, skin removed
- Marinade (A)
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- Batter (B)
- 100g self-raising flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 130ml water or just enough
Instructions
- Open up the chicken breast meat. Use a meat mallet to lightly flatten out then cut into 5cm x 3cm pieces. Marinate with marinade (A) for at least 25-30 minutes.
- Combine self-raising flour, salt and water in a mixing bowl. Stir and mix into a smooth and thick batter.
- Dip the pieces of marinated meat into batter and deep-fry until golden. Dish out and drain from oil.
