EVER thought of giving a traditional Indian dish a deliciously modern twist?
You can definitely do so without completely changing its original taste. There are many ways to put an unexpected twist to your dish. You can try different techniques when it comes to making them, pair them with something else or even create a fusion with other types of cuisines.
Here Chef Sapna Anand shares two recipes with a twist.
1. Keema Lasagna. Click here for recipe. (top pic)
Keema is a traditional North Indian dish. It is minced meat that is slow-cooked with a few ground spices and other ingredients. Keema is usually served with Indian bread or rice.
Lasagna, on the hand, is a typical pasta dish in Italy layered with bolognese. Pasta and curry is not your typical food combo but it works! This is a great example of mixing the East and the West.
2. Achari Chicken Tart. Click here for recipe.
The word “achari” means pickling in India. This achari is made using spices and chicken. It is an aromatic and delicious dish that is usually complimented by rice, chapatis or parathas. This recipe takes achari chicken to a whole new level by putting in a unique twist and turning it into a tart.
