THE Kim Ma Cantonese Fusion Restaurant has always taken pride in coming out with a fine assortment of yee sang every year and this year is no different.
During the Chinese New Year, diners at this restaurant can loh hei or toss the yee sang hoping for abundance of wealth, luck and prosperity.
Annual delicacy: Wong with the Prosperity Yee Sang with Salmon.
Chef de cuisine Roy Wong Wing Chong has prepared yee sang selections from salmon, seabass, tuna, abalone, scallop and seasonal fresh food.
These yee sang selections can be relished with the chef’s specially prepared Chinese New Year menus with prices ranging from RM880++, RM988++, RM1,188++ and RM1,388++ per table of 10 persons.
At a recent review, members of the media were treated to the RM988++ set menu which featured the Prosperity Yee Sang with Salmon, Palace Hot and Cold appetiser combination, Double-boiled Minced Chicken Broth with Sea Cucumber and Superior Shark’s Fin, Steamed Village Chicken with Wild Ginseng, Steamed and Sauteed Coral Trout, Steamed Seafood and waxed Duck with Glutinous Rice in Abalone Sauce, Homemade Durian Ice Cream and Black Glutinous Rice with Mango in Cream of Pumpkin and the New Year Cake Stuffed with Sweet Potato.
Wong is better known for his modern interpretation of Cantonese cuisine and has included fine touches to his Chinese New Year dishes.
Diners at the Palace of the Golden Horses can also dine at the Carousel Cafe to experience authentic Malaysian cuisine and delectable international delights.
The CNY buffet and Yee Sang promotion at Carousel Cafe is priced at RM88++. The Chinese New Year promotion lasts until Feb 17.
