THE Manhattan Fish Market has a new menu filled with some of the ocean’s best delights and its revamped outlet in Pavilion is the perfect place to try it out.
The Manhattan Fish Market Malaysia operations manager David Lee said seafood lovers will definitely find a number of delectable meals in store for them at the outlets.
“The young, fun-loving generation will find that our restaurant and menu are perfectly suited to their lifestyle, as we promise delicious food with a fun, modern and cool dining experience,” said Lee.
Start the meal with an array of delicious starters including the Cream of Mushroom that is made from fragrant shiitake mushrooms sauteed with onions. Salad lover should opt for the Garden Salad with Whitebait, also known as the silver fish.
Lee said vegetables should always have seven colours and so they have added lettuce, purple cabbages, yellow onions, carrots and tomatoes to give colour to the salad. Cajun Honey Mustard is a home-made sauce that adds a little sweetness to the dish.
For the starters, try the Quad Delights, a combination of Fried Calamari brought in from Mexico, the Fried Country Mushrooms from Cameron Highlands and Fried Shrimps and Coleslaw with raisins.
The best seller however, is the Garlic Herb Mussels that is poached in the restaurant’s famous Garlic Herb Sauce served with baguette slices.
Main course may prove to be a difficult choice with the wide selection.
The famous ones on the menu are the Grilled Catch of the Day that is served with Garlic Herb Rice and crunchy broccoli on the sides and the Manhattan Fish and Chips.
The Cherry Snapper fish fillet is dipped in batter and fried till crispy, served with chips and drizzled with the Garlic Herb Sauce.
“We also have a large number of pasta dishes on the menu and one of them is the Seafood Olio. Sauteed shrimps and spaghetti is swirled in garlic and dusted with zesty chilly flakes that give it a kick,” added Lee.
Another favourite is the Manhattan Flaming Prawns topped with a special blend of mayonnaise, sugar and soy sauce.
Wash these down with two new drinks, the Gummy Bear — a combination of Curacao and tropical fruit mix, or the Citrus Mint — a refreshing lemon juice drink with a dash of mint on crushed ice.
As for dessert, indulge in the new Mud Pie Madness, a homemade mud pie.
The base is ice cream, chocolate and crushed Oreo’s on the top. The dish is served on tortilla crust instead of waffles, drizzled with chocolate sauce.
