SOULED Out celebrated its 15th anniversary with the launch of its baby branch in Jalan Ampang.
Souled Out owner Fred Choo said the stakes were high for opening the second outlet, as many would compare it with its first and famous outlet in Desa Sri Hartamas.
“Souled Out Ampang is like our baby. We will continue to nurture and nourish our baby to grow and make us proud. I hope customers will be patient and I assure the standard and quality of this outlet will be the same or even better in comparison.
“We are still very passionate about our business even after 15 years. That is why it took us that many years to open the second outlet. We have been very selective about choosing the right location and Ampang is the ideal neighbourhood as it is almost in the heart of town,” he said.
Patrons walking in will be greeted by two unique shadow pillars made from a combination of thousands of different types of wood glued together facing the al-fresco dining area overlooking the traffic.
A lot of wood works have been incorporated in the building design. The ceiling is lined with bakau poles sourced from Indonesia which gives a homely warmth while the table tops, bar top and staircase landing is made of teak butcher blocks.
The bar is downstairs and there is more dining area upstairs.
The staircase that runs in the middle separating two dining areas also holds flat screen TVs to be viewed from both sides.
The new outlet features all four kitchens, Western, Asian, Northern Indian and pizzeria, serving customer favourites. New additions like a selection of sandwiches, spicy sheperd’s pie, beef espetada and nicoise salad are also available.
Souled Out started as a small neighbourhood cafe in Mont Kiara in 1996 and later moved to a Desa Sri Hartamas in 1999. For more information, visit www.souledout.com.my
