DELICATE is the best word to describe the cuisines in Dorsett Regency’s Christmas Eve dinner set.
Offered by the hotel’s Cellini’s Italian Restaurant, the dishes are Mediterranean-inspired which fits nicely with the restaurant’s fine-dining concept.
For the preview, we were served a five-course Christmas Eve dinner.
The meal began with a duo of appetisers, Pasta La Vedura, and Christmas Fennel and Fish Soup.
Pasta La Vedura was served with vegetable pasta, and lobster with thyme and dill jelly. It is a simple dish to start off the dinner.
The Christmas Fennel and Fish Soup was a standout. The combination of the flavourful fennel made the soup delicious.
The savoury Mango Sorbet made in-house functioned as a palate cleanser before the main course.
The main entree was a plate consisted two dishes with the same key ingredient — Norwegian salmon.
It was the Confit of Norwegian Salmon and Moist Confit of Salmon with Spinach Veloute.
They both had a firm texture. The fish’s skin was crispy as well.
If salmon is not your thing, you can have the Roast Turkey with all the traditional trimmings such as yam, carrot, chestnut and sage stuffing, giblet gravy and cranberry sauce.
For dessert, there was a choice of the Traditional Christmas Plum Pudding with Vanilla Sauce or the Christmas Chocolate Truffle Parfait.
There will be free flow of sparkling wine, beer, soft drinks and fresh juices too.
A one-evening only dinner will be served on Christmas Eve from 6.20pm to 11pm at RM198++ per person.
