THIS Chinese New Year, The Haven Luxury Resort is inviting diners for an exceptional holiday experience with its specially introduced Night Sky Gourmet Poon Choi Dinner package.
The resort’s poon choi, a popular traditional Chinese dish, will be made of an array of high-end ingredients like fresh prawns, smoked duck, abalone, scallops, dried oysters, fish and more – a meal fit for the emperor, as the Chinese saying goes.
The Haven sales and marketing executive Kelxy Tung said diners will get to savour the dinner package on the resort’s rooftop which overlooks the lake (only open if more than two tables are booked at the time).
“The dinner, as the name of our package suggests, will take place under the night sky and stars, where families can reunite for Chinese New Year with this new feasting experience,” she said during the introduction of the package at the residential and holiday destination in Ipoh on Tuesday.

Along with the gourmet poon choi, Tung said the promotion, which is certified halal, includes a two-day one-night stay at The Haven, and breakfast.
“We want diners to have a full-on living experience with their families of life in The Haven.
“Since our restaurant Cuisine has a halal certification, the poon choi and other food served at the Cuisine can be enjoyed by people of all cultures and backgrounds,” she said.
Tung added that other dishes served for the dinner include salmon yee sang, garlic rice, Hong Kong kailan,
According to Tung, all food within the grounds are prepared using natural ingredients. No preservatives, MSG, or artificial additives are used.
Available from Jan 8 to Feb 22, the package comes in two selections – RM2,488 for eight to 10 people, and RM1,288 for four to five people.
Tung pointed out that between those dates, prices will be different from Feb 7 to 10 to cater to the Chinese New Year holiday season.
“The package will then be priced at RM1,588 for four to five people, and RM3,088 for eight to ten people,” she said.
Prices are inclusive of the accommodation.
Guests will enjoy a 2+1 Suite Unit Lakeview Superior (two units for those coming in a group of eight to 10).
For residents who are already living in The Haven, the prices for the Poon Choi are RM988+ for eight to 10 people, and RM498+ for four to five people.
