CHATZ Brasserie at Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur celebrates the best of hawker street food, served amidst the comforts of the hotel’s restaurant, with its latest promotion dubbed “Hawker A-Fair”.

The “Hawker A-Fair” promotion offers a place where traditional hawker fare meets hotel congeniality, with diners given the option of taking their pick of hawker fare prepared a la minute, or from the many dishes available at the buffet line.

The highlight of the buffet dinner is the live action stations manned by “hawker chefs” comprising the restaurant’s team of chefs, who will serve up piping hot local favourites.

The “House of Noodles” features a selection of noodles like prawn mee, mee rebus, assam laksa, curry mee and wan tan noodles soup, while the Chinese wok stall offers char koay teow and oyster omelette.

The char koay teow stands out among the noodle dishes as its taste is reminiscent of what one can get from a roadside hawker.

Another stall offers roti canai, tosai, murtabak, roti jala, idli and fried vadai, which are accompanied with curry, dhal and coconut chutney.

There are also other hawker staples like chicken or duck rice, popiah (spring rolls), dim sum, yong tau foo, chee cheong fun, satay and rojak buah.

For some hawker-style desserts, diners can go for apam balik, cendol, ice kacang, as well as Malay and Nyonya kuih.

Diners can wash down their meal with a cuppa hot drink, be it teh tarik, Nescafe tarik or white coffee.

The buffet dinner is served alongside a menu of international and local buffet staples like salads, kerabu, ulam, salted fish, seafood on ice, main dishes, soups, and desserts.

The dessert section includes cakes, jellies, fresh fruits and sweet dessert soups like Bubur Kacang Hijau Durian and Chinese Ginger Boiled Sweet Potato.
