THIS Ramadan, break fast with family and friends and tantalise your taste buds at Swiss-Garden Hotel & Residences Kuala Lumpur’s Flavors Restaurant, which is offering over 150 authentic Malay and international dishes.
Chef Mohamed Firdaus Redzuan is offering Perak-style dishes based on his grandmother’s recipes.
“Some of the dishes are marinated using Arabian spices,” he said.
There is a variety of Malay, Thai, Chinese, Indian and Western cuisines to choose from.
Start your meal with appetisers such as kerabu kobis, kerabu mangga, kerabu nangka muda, pickled fruits, Acar Buah Sri Rampai and Sup Soto Ayam.
For the main course, choices include Salmon Fish Head Curry, Thai Green Curry Chicken, Ikan Siakap Masam Manis, Thai-style Panaeng, Daging Goreng Bercili, Peparu Goreng Bercili, Rendang Daging Tuk and bubur lambuk.
One of the highlights is the Roasted Whole Lamb Arabic Style with hummus dips, which is available every night.
The Salmon Fish Head Curry is a must-try as it is rather unique to use salmon in this dish.
As for the Pandan Chicken, the meat is tender and flavourful.
For a more modern taste, choose from Cauliflower a la Polonaise, Prawn Lasagne, Baked Chicken with Capsicum Salsa or Mussel and Crab Bouillabaisse.
There are also stalls which serve an array of perennial favourites such as roti canai, murtabak, asam laksa, seafood tom yam, chicken rice, popiah, pasembur, assorted tempura, satay and grilled seafood.
For dessert, indulge in an array of delectable delights such as Apam Gula Hangus, kuih bahulu, tempeyek, tapai ubi, tapai pulut, bubur sagu and keledek, pengat nangka, Macadamia Nut Brownie, Pandan Layer Cake, Blueberry Cheese Cake, Cream Caramel and Caramelised Banana Tart.
“To cater to the current healthy eating trend, the desserts are not too sweet,” said Mohamed Firdaus.
The international Ramadan Bazaar is priced at RM70++ per adult and RM35++ per child or senior citizen for the first and fourth week and RM80++ per adult and RM40++ per child or senior citizen for the second and third week.
