Holdings Berhad has pledged to do its part for charity via the Iftar Ramadan promotion hosted by hotels under its Hospitality Division ? Palace of the Golden Horses and Mines Wellness Hotel.
As part of the group’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, Country Heights will be contributing RM1 from each paying adult breaking fast at the hotels? coffeehouses throughout Ramadan to Rumah Nur Hikmah orphanage.
The Iftar Ramadan promotion will be held at Carousel International Coffeehouse at Palace of the Golden Horses, and Abdul & Charlie” Coffee Coffeehouse at Mines Wellness Hotel.
“Our Ramadan charity campaign aims to help Rumah Nur Hikmah, a centre that provides shelter, accommodation, education and recreational programmes for orphans aged 18 and below,” said Palace of the Golden Horses general manager Francis Alberto.
We hope that this initiative will provide some basic necessities for the children and help improve their centre.
“Our Hospitality Division will also be collaborating with the Besraya concessionaire, Sungai Besi, to distribute bubur lambuk and an assortment of cookies as part of our CSR initiative to spread the message on safe driving during the festive season,” he added.
Alberto was speaking at the launch of the promotion at Carousel International Coffeehouse, which was also attended by the children of Rumah Nur Hikmah and their care-givers.
Carousel International Coffee-house?s Iftar Ramadan buffet features local food, traditional dishes and live action stalls.
The menu, which will be rotated on a weekly basis, offers an extensive spread of some 250 appetisers, main courses and desserts.
Dishes served at the live action stalls include Sup Gearbox, Gulai Kawah Tulang Rawan, Street Ayam Golek, roast lamb and beef, beef and chicken satay, grilled seafood, murtabak, roti canai and briyani rice.
Those who prefer rice can have them with traditional dishes such as Perut Masak Lemak Rebung, Sambal Tempe Jawa, Pucuk Paku Goreng Belacan, Ikan Duri Masak Asam Pedas and Ketam Goreng Berempah.
Diners will be entertained by a Ghazal band performance as they break fast with family and friends.
The Ramadan buffet at Carousel International Coffeehouse is priced at RM98++ per adult and RM49++ per child and per senior citizen.
The Ramadan buffet at Abdul & Charlie’s Coffee Coffeehouse is priced at RM90++ per adult and RM50++ per child.
Both restaurants provide a special group rate with a minimum booking of 30 persons, or free dining for one person with every 10 paying guests.
Other promotions offered are a 30% discount on Aug 5 to 7.
The Iftar Ramadan promotion is available from 6pm until 10pm, from now until Aug 7.
