Exquisite flavours in the handmade yoghurt.
D?FAHRENHEIT Yogurt has been making waves with its delicious and healthy yoghurt-based fare as well as its quirky sexy 70s theme that oozes feminine appeal from every corner.
Designed as a ladies/couple cafe, many female mannequins are featured here alongside larger than life Marilyn Monroe prints on the walls.
Located in Farquhar Street (below Penang Bowl), the outlet is equally renowned for its exciting desserts and Western main dishes prepared using imported herbs and spices. It is safe to say that the exquisite flavours cannot be found anywhere else.
D?Fahrenheit is also the first in Penang to serve handmade and liquor-infused frozen yoghurt. There are soft serve premium yoghurt in flavours such as Blue Martini, Mojito, Screwdriver, Crazy Fever, Brain Teaser and Pink Lady.
The crumb-based frozen yoghurt is a sheer soothing delight with its texture and depth. Favourites include Peach White Wine, Mixed Berries Vodka, Yogurt Cheese, Exotic Durian, Vodka Lychee and Blue Cheese.
The Peach White Wine perfectly combines the sweetness of peaches and the sourness of yoghurt into a tasty treat, while the Mixed Berries Vodka will satiate your taste buds.
Meant to be shared are the yoghurt fondue comprising mussel, scallop, cherry tomato, banana, apple, chicken and crab fraci and the white chocolate fondue with marshmallow, strawberry, biscuit and cake, to name a few.
As for the main and snacks, the dishes feature yogurt as an ingredient in more forms than one. The Mexican Paprika Pork, German Sausage Yogurt, Chicken Yogurt and Best Kisser Noodle (from Hong Kong) come highly recommended.
The sausage with its tantalising chilli and apple sauce will catapult your senses for its spiciness, while the yoghurt-marinated grilled chicken is superb to the last tender morsel.
Other inventive specialities include the Special Cajun Dory, Pesto Rosso (Germany), Origin Pork (Chinese wine) and Gingerbread Spices Pork. The Light and Easy bites include Prawn Potato Yogurt, Sexy Chicks (Asian spices) and Dip Me with Yogurt Nachos.
The drink list features some fancy names; Meet The White, Take A Cap in Innocity (coffees), You?re So Mean, Lover Peach & Apricot (teas) as well as refreshing concoctions such as Triangle Love (guava and soursop), and Naughty Fellow (all the purple fruits).
