YOU can play your part for charity when you break fast at Seri Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur (SPHKL) from July 23 till Aug 16.

For the Sentuhan Kasih Ramadan campaign, Raya cookies will be sold at RM20 per jar with six types of cookies to choose from — Famous Seri, Chocolate Chip, Corn Flake, Peanut Butter, Pineapple Tarts and Almond cookies.

Some of the proceeds from the sales will be channelled into the the hotel’s Go Green Fund and to SK Tanjung Pati Dungun, Terengganu.

The 27 children with disabilities from the school were recently adopted by SPHKL. They come from families with low incomes and the hotel will assist in financing their needs.

Seri Pacific marketing and communications manager Zarina Jaafar said this contribution was in line with the hotel’s commitment to bring cheer to the less fortunate, especially during festive seasons.

“We hope this small contribution will ensure that children who are less fortunate can enjoy and celebrate the holy month just like everyone else,” she said at the Ramadan preview themed “A Feast Full of Indulgence” organised by the hotel in collaboration with Jamu Mak Dara Sdn Bhd and Avon Cosmetics (M) Sdn Bhd.

For the Ramadan buffet, chef de cuisine Saad Othman and his team will prepare more than 500 different dishes everyday.

Some of the Ramadhan buffet highlights are Sup Gear Box ‘Power’, Roasted Marinated Whole Lamb, Kari Kepala Ikan, Ikan Bakar, Pasembur and Laksa Johor. Traditional dishes include Pucuk Ubi Lemak Pedas Dengan Tempoyak, Daging Berlada Deng-Deng; desserts include Bubur, Air Batu Campur (ABC), and assorted kuih-muih.

Get your fried keow teow, teppanyaki, kebab, pasta and various grilled meats at the action stalls manned by the hotel chefs.

For health-conscious diners, there are ulam-ulam kampung and a variety of salads and local seasonal fruits available.

Quench your thirst at the Latar Kijang Beverage Station with cold beverages like soya bean, coconut water, bandung syrup, nescafe tarik and teh tarik.

Diners will also be serenaded by live musicians Los Gomos.

The hotel also provides a surau to enable diners to perform their prayers without leaving the hotel.

The Ramadhan buffet is priced from RM80 nett per adult.

Seri Pacific is also offering a promotional rate for diners from July 23 to July 25 and Aug 14 to 16.

Ramadan meeting packages are also available at RM330nett per person for one night accommodation in a superior room including unlimited free Internet usage in the room, use of meeting rooms, and PA system. Guests who want to spend the night are offered a special Ramadan package of RM185++ per room per night.
