MAKAN Kitchen, the signature Malaysian restaurant of DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur will be ushering the Dragon year with a sumptuous Chinese New Year spread.
From Jan 9 until Feb 6, diners get to enjoy a variety of delectable delicacies prepared by Chef Kua Beng Hooi, the restaurant’s Chinese/Peranakan kitchen chef.
Enjoy the bountiful spread of lunch, dinner and hi-tea, available from Jan 9 to Feb 6, priced at RM 59++ per pax for lunch, RM 79++ for dinner and RM 49++ for hi-tea.
You get to savour Fish Steam Basket, a Cantonese-style steamed fish fillet with ginger, Char Kuew Kak (stir-fried carrot cake with dried shrimps), Nyonya-style Braised Sioh Chicken or Wok Fried Tiger Prawns with preserved bean curd, just to name a few .
From the dessert station, enjoy the special Lunar sweet counter which is filled with Chinese treasures such as Ang Ku, Hak Tou Su, Sesame Cookies, Kuih Kapit, Omachi and a whole lot more.
From Jan 21 to Jan 31, the restaurant will be serving a dinner buffet, including the Reunion Dinner and hi-tea with a slight twist to the menu. You can expect a good selection of Chinese cuisine such as the restaurant’s signature Roasted Duck, Steamed Green Mussels, Char Siew Chicken, Fried Squid Kam Heong-style and many more to choose from.
There will also be an additional counter that serves Homemade Crispy Duck Roll plus a made-to-order Yee Sang counter where you can choose and customize to your likings from a variety of Crispy Yam, Pickled Papaya, Julienne Turnips, fresh Salmon slices and more. Dinner is priced at RM88++ per person whereas hi-tea is at RM59++ per person.
Take advantage of the hi-tea special where for every full-paying adult, a child below 12-years-old dines in for free; maximum of four children per table. All buffet prices are inclusive of one glass of homemade mandarin orange juice.
The restaurant will also be serving a selection of yee sang for diners to choose from. Enjoy tossing the yee sang with your loved ones and select from the three options available: Rainbow Salmon Yee Sang priced at RM188++, Happiness Red Tuna Yee Sang at RM218++ and Prosperity Abalone Yee Sang at RM268++. All prices are for per platter of 10 persons and are available for dine-in or takeaway.
In addition to the celebration, the restaurant will have a special 12-Zodiac Prosperity Wheel, where for every RM200 and above spent, diners will be entitled for a spin. If the wheel stops on your zodiac, you will receive a 10 percent discount and for the dragon zodiac, a double bonus of 20 percent discount.
The 12-Zodiac Prosperity Wheel will entitle lucky diners to win hotel stay, dining and discount vouchers. There will also be a live ‘Lion Dance’ performance on January 30 at the hotel lobby area.
