IT’S ironic that The Burger Factory, contrary to the connotations linked to its name, crafts its ground beef patties by hand.

Owners Calvin Chan and Melissa Lai said the buns used for their burgers were also made fresh.

“We import quality ground beef from Australia for our patties as beef of lower quality may have a pungent smell,” said Chan, adding that their establishment, which opened in June, uses charcoal buns in some of their burgers and hot dogs.

Choosing what to eat from the long list of burgers and other dishes on the menu can be a daunting task, and The Burger Factory even allows diners to add on ingredients to their orders.

‘The Boss’ is made up of about half of the ingredients available and is the second biggest burger at The Burger Factory.

For the second biggest burger on the menu, aptly named “The Boss”, it uses so many ingredients that the burger is just barely manageable by a single diner.

The burger, which has an à la carte price of RM25.90, has both a beef patty and chicken breast with two slices of cheddar cheese and at least half a dozen other ingredients.

But despite the numerous ingredients in this burger that is wider than the human jaw, the ingredients blend together very well and taste fantastic.

Another interesting creation at The Burger Factory is the “Cheese N Cheese”, which is priced at RM14.90.

“For the Cheese N Cheese, the beef patty is made with a melted cheese filling,” said Chan.

Although the concept itself is not unheard of, the Cheese N Cheese would be popular among cheese lovers.

But one of my personal favourites was the chicken burger simply known as “Texas”, priced at RM16.90.

When eaten fresh, the deep-fried chicken chop is crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, which goes very well with the smokey hickory sauce and caramelised onion rings.

The Garden Salad, priced at RM9.90, is available as a side order.

The Burger Factory also offers an array of other items such as hot dogs, mini Japanese pizza, pasta, rice dishes, side orders and dessert.

Though the current eatery in Kota Kemuning is the only one, Chan revealed that they would be opening new restaurants in SS15, Subang Jaya and Oasis Ara Damansara in November and December.
