CARLSBERG and Erdinger may not be among the beers served at the actual Oktoberfest in Munich, but little details like that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying Carlsberg Malaysia’s Oktoberfest celebrations this year.
The month-long promotion was launched on Wednesday at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, in collaboration with Berjaya University College of Hospitality.
From now until Oct 30, over 25 participating outlets and 18 market squares throughout the Klang Valley, Penang, Seremban and Johor will be turned into mini-Oktoberfest festivals, with German cuisine, traditional live music performances, games, and of course, lots of good beer.
Among the beers that will be available are not only Carlsberg but also imported German beers such as Erdinger Weissbier, Franziskaner Weissbier and Löwenbräu.
Beer aficionados will stand a chance to win an Ultimate Beer Tour for three to Munich, Germany, and Copenhagen, Denmark, by participating in a Facebook contest. To take part, log-in to your Facebook account and “like” the “Malaysia’s Own Oktoberfest 2011” page. Visit carlsbergmalaysia.com.my for more information.
