Recipe Ingredient
- 2 cloves of garlic (chopped)
- Some salt to sprinkle on the ribs
- 500g pork ribs
- 400ml water
- Marinade:
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1.5 tbsp tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
- 1 tsp five spice powder
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- Some salt
Instructions
- Clean the ribs and season some salt on the surface
- Heat up the pan with some cooking oil and sear the ribs on both sides until caramelized and evenly browned
- Once the ribs are browned, put in the chopped garlic and stir fry until fragrant
- Once the garlics are fragrant, pour in the marinade and water and let it boil. Then put on the lid and let it simmer for 30mins on low heat (note: after 15mins, turn the sides of the ribs to continue simmer)
- When the sauce starts to thicken, take off the lid and slowly stir fry the ribs to reduce the braising sauce until it sticks to the ribs.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and coriander and serve
