Recipe Description
A simple recipe of Spaghetti Meatballs which kids will love.
Recipe Ingredient
- 100 g minced chicken meat
- 50 g prawns minced
- 1 tbsp egg white
- 1 tbsp carrot,finely diced
- 1 tbsp spring onion finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp tapioca flour
- Stock
- 1 tbsp chicken stock powder
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 150 ml water
- 100 g spaghetti
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 tomato finely chopped
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 25 g red capsicum sliced thinly
- 25 g green capsicum sliced thinly
Instructions
- To make meatballs: In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients. Stir and mix to a sticky paste. Form into small balls.
- To cook: Bring the stock ingredients to boil. Drop in the meatballs and cook until done. Remove meatballs; reserve the stock.
- To cook pasta: Cook spaghetti according to packet instructions until al dente. Dish out and add a little butter and toss to mix well. Place the pasta on individual serving plates.
- To prepare sauce: Heat the olive oil in a pan. Sauté the onion until softened. Add tomato and fry until fragrant. Add the bay leaf, dried oregano, tomato sauce, chili sauce and oyster sauce.
- Pour in the reserved stock. Simmer until sauce is slightly thickened.
- Add the red and green capsicum and meatballs. Cook for 1 minute.
- Divide the sauce and meatballs among the plates of spaghetti.
