Take a break from your hectic schedule and let off steam with two appetising offers at Borak-Borak and Royale Songket.
THERE is much excitement taking place during lunch at Grand BlueWave Hotel in Shah Alam with ongoing the “Hot Steamboat and Royale Thai Fusion” promotion.
Patrons have a choice of either a steamboat meal or Thai cuisine, which the hotel is offering every weekday for lunch.
For the “Hot Steamboat” promotion, which is available at Borak-Borak, patrons can choose from Clear Chicken Soup or Spicy Tom Yam Soup for starters.
At a review of the promotion, we were served the Spicy Tom Yam soup, which was fragrant, sweet and not too spicy.
For RM29 nett, the ingredients for the Regular Plate steamboat include prawns, shell clam, chicken, crab stick, fish ball, mushroom and an assortment of vegetables, served on a bed of ice.
For two to four diners, there is the Large Plate on Ice, priced at RM49nett, which comes with additional items such as lamb, beef, chicken wings and crabs,
“This is the first time we are doing this steamboat promotion based on requests from our guests,” said the hotel’s Malay chef Shumizan Mohamed Ali.
He said the aim was to organise a steamboat luncheon for guests in a comfortable environment.
“Despite the hot weather outside, our patrons can relax in the hotel and enjoy the steamboat,” he said.
Those ordering the Regular Plate will get a portion of meehoon while yee mee is served for the Large Plate portion.
Diners who opt for the Royale Thai Fusion will be served at the hotel’s Royale Songket Restaurant.
There are two sets to choose from – Set A, priced at RM48.70 nett, has four dishes plus rice while Set B, priced at RM71.90 nett, comes with five dishes and rice.
“The dishes we chose are our customers’ favourites, especially the Green Birdeye Chili Chicken and Prawns in Coconut Broth,” said sous chef Ahmad Al-Hafiz Redzuan.
He said the set lunch was ideal for those who wanted a variety of dishes as it was good for sharing among two or three people.
“The difference between both sets is just the additional fish dish in Set B,” he said.
The Thai menu also features dishes such as Hot and Sour Chicken, Thai Ox-Tail Soup, Thai Sweet and Sour Asian Seabass with Mango and Mango Spicy Salad.
The promotion is available from Monday to Friday, from noon to 2.30pm and 6.30pm to 10.30pm.
